Darjeeling tours is the most important and organized hill resort of Indian state of West Bengal. Darjeeling lies 686 kms from the plains of Kolkata perched at a height of 2134 meters with a backdrop of the mighty snow clad Himalayan Peaks. One can get a clear view of the world’s third mightiest and highest mountainous snow peaks, Kanchenjunga, from the town on a sunny day. During the British Raj in India, Darjeeling's temperate climate led to its development as a hill station (hill town) for British residents to escape the heat of the plains during the summers, becoming known as the Summer Capital. Darjeeling is internationally famous for its tea industry and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Darjeeling area with a partly independent status inside the state of west Bengal and town is located in the Mahabharat Range. The population's ethnic composition is closely linked with that of Nepal, Bhutan and Sikkim. The majority of the populace is of ethnic Nepali background.
The growth of the town dates back to the mid-19th century, when the British set up a sanatorium and a military depot. Afterward, extensive tea plantation was done in the region, and tea growers developed distinctive hybrids of black tea and created new fermenting techniques. The resultant typical Darjeeling tea is internationally recognized and ranks among the most popular of the black teas. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway connect the town with the plains and has one of the few steam locomotives still in service in India. Darjeeling also has several British-style public schools, which attract students from throughout India and neighboring countries. The town, with its neighboring town of Kalimpong, was a center for the demand of the Gorkhaland movement in the 1980s. The present movement for a separate state of Gorkhaland is also centered in Darjeeling town. In recent years, the town's fragile ecology has been threatened by a rising demand for ecological resources, stemming from rising tourist traffic and badly planned urbanization.
Day 01:- New Jalpaiguri - Bagdogra – Kalimpong: On arrival in New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, Bagdogra Airport, our agent meet you, transfer you to Kalimpong 85 Kms, 3 hours.
Day 02:- Kalimpong: After breakfast in the morning, we take you for a full day excursion to some of the beautiful spots in North Bengal.
Day 03:- Kalimpong - Gangtok: After breakfast, we transfer you to Gangtok (85 Km / 3hrs).
Day 04:- Gangtok: Early in the morning, we take you to an excursion trip to Tsongo Lake or Changu Lake which is a glacial lake in East Sikkim, Baba Harbhajan Temple a temple.
Day 05:- Gangtok - Pelling: After breakfast, we transfer you to Pelling (130 kms / 4 hours).
Day 06:- Pelling: After breakfast, we take you to Pemayangtse monastery, Khechepalri Lake and Sangay waterfall.
Day 07:- Pelling - Darjeeling: After breakfast we transfer you to Darjeeling (120 Kms/4 hrs).
Day 08:- Darjeeling: Very early in the morning we take you to Tiger Hill to catch a glimpse of sunrise over Kanchandzonga.
Day 09:- Transfer to New Jalpaiguri - Bagdogra: After breakfast transfer you to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport (100 km - 4 hours) for your return onward journey.
