Kongma La Pass Trekking

Everest Kongma La TrekKongma La pass Trekking (5350m.) above the Khumbu glacier opposite Lobuche in Everest trek region & is one of several small summits, including Pokalde, that make up the long South West ridge of Nuptse, between the Khumbu and Nuptse Glaciers. Trekking through Namche, Tengboche go continue Dengboche, Chhukung and finally over the Kongma La pass Everest base camp side to Kalapattar (5648m.) after Kongma La pass where you spend a night after crossing Kongma La. Direction towards Everest we cross the Kangma La to the Everest Base Camp and Kalapattar. After identify the classic climbing routes to the summit of Everest we complete a spectacular traverse over the Kalapattar to the alpine pastures and lakes of Everest, Pumori and so many others Himalaya range. From Kalapattar we gain further outstanding views of Ama Dablam before heading over the Kongma La pass to the Lobuche. You can shoot the picture from Kongma La pass to Lobuche and Gorek Shep village with charming Khumbu Glacier, Huge Glacier, Kongma La pass on the Lap of Everest, Mt Makalu, Mt. Lotse at once shot counting numerous other mountains. After crossing the pass, we encounter with the wonderful remote valley. View on to the west more mountains that mountains are display from Kongma La pass top but not Everest Base Camp.

 

After descending from Kongma La pass 150 to 200 M tricky piece, we descend along wide yak meadow. If you are fit to walk up and down, competently move yours leg up and down, this trekking trip will be memorable trip in your existence. Point we take the trail to Lobuche after crossing Kongma La pass (5350m.) and join the trail from valley of Dzongla and Thukla continue to Lobuche. After the ascent of Kalapatthar (5648m.) and the impressive up-close view of Everest, our return route passes through Kongma La (5350m.). We will effectively take you over those passes with highly taking care with our experienced staff. While going down, we stop in Tengboche, a wonderful location with a charming monastery. We rest here and savor the unbelievable scenery, including wonderful views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Kantega, Kwangde, Nuptse, and Lhotse. This is eventual high altitude trekking, in the world’s most impressive mountain landscape. It’s definitely tough but the landscape provides more than sufficient reward. After Lobuche, Gorek Shep and Kalapattar trek to Lukla via Namche.

 

Kongma La Pass Trekking Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu to Lukla (2850m.) thirty minute. by flight & same day trek to Phakding (2610m.) it takes four hours walk via Cheplung (2660m.), Ghat village (2592m.), Thado Kosi (2580m.), lodhe/hotel till Phakding.


Day 02: Trek to Namche (3440m.) it takes six hours walk. This day you cross three bridges in Jorsalle village (2740m.), Everest national park check point after third bridge steep up until Namche Bazar.


Day 03: Acclimatization in Namche and sight seeing in local village, national park museum, Everest panoramic view from syangboche and down to hotel in the after noon.


Day 04: Trek to Tengboche (3867m.) it takes five hours walk. All the way from Kyanjuma (3550m.) where you can see close view of Thamserku mountain (6618m.) & continue to Phungi Thanga (3250m.) stop for lunch either drink & steep up to Tengboche.

Day 05: Trek to Dingboche (4410m.) it takes five an half to six hours walk via Deboche (3820m.), Pangboche (3930m.), Somare (4010m.) & Orsho (4190m.) final destination is Dingboche.


Day 06: Trek to Acclimatization in Dingboche but in the morning after breakfast hiking up to Chhukung (4730m.) close view of Island Peak (6200m.), south face of Mt. Lotse (8516m.), different view of Mt. Amadaplam (6814m.), rest in Chhukung for a while & down to Dingboche.


Day 07: Trek to Lobuche (4910m.) it takes six hours walk via Thukla (4620m.) stop here for tea/coffee after here steep up memory place on the top & path is pretty easy to final destination Lobuche.


Day 08: Trek to Gorek Shep (5185m.) it takes three to three an half hours walk almost on desert path and old glacier too where you can see Everest (8848m.) top and other mountain too rest of the time walk around Gorek Shep or continue to Everest Base Camp & back to Gorek Shep it takes five hours walk.


Day 09: Get up early morning climb up to Kalapattar for sunrise view on Mt Everest as well as several mountain view from there & down to hotel take breakfast trek continue to Lobuche (4240m.) it takes five hours walk.


Day 10: Early morning take your breakfast and walk continue to Kongma La Pass (5350m) and all the way down to Chhukung (4700m.) which it takes seven to nine hours but it depend your physical and overnight hotel in Chhukung.


Day 11: Trek to Tengboche (3867m.) via Dengboche, Somare, Pangboche, Deboche and finally you are in Tengboche where you can see eco museum after 3pm and monastery will open same time.


Day 12: Trek to Namche (3440m.) it takes five hours walk. Steep down till Phungi Thanga (3250m.) & steep up to Kyanjuma (3550m.) and path is pretty easy until Namche Bazar.


Day 13: Trek to Phakding (2610m.) four to five hours walk. Steep down till third of Jorsalle (2740m.) & walk between local village.


Day 14: Trek to Lukla (2850m.) three hours walk. Via Ghat (2592m.), Thado Khosi (2560m.) Cheplung (2660m.) & steep up till Lukla (2850m.) twenty minute.

 

Day 15: Morning flight to Kathmandu from Lukla thirty minute & finish your trek in Himalaya.
