Machhermo peak Climbing in Nepal

Approach from Machhermo cross the Kyajo Glacier and climb via southwest ridge. At the position of our high camp we found a few old cans and rock tent site enclosure. Base camp is set up above the stony pasture and moraine around 5200m. Extra climb ascend on the rock and snow slopes to reach the top. From the top of peak provide spectacular views of Nuptse, Lhotse, Amadablam Everest and Lhotse Shar. Everest Himalaya range, among a long line of peaks ongoing all the way to Cho Oyu on the Nepal China (Tibet) border. Machhermo is highest trekking peak on the southern ridge made by the Namche and Dole and Gokyo valley standing at a height of 6273m. Machhermo valley to the west and the Gokyo valley to the east the 6273m high Machhermo is the top on the southern part of this edge. This peak is one of the most spectacular mountain lies on the way to Gokyo lake. Peak has not been opened long time for climbers. Machhermo peak Climbing Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu to Lukla (2850m.) 30 minute fly and same day trek to Phakding (2610m.) 4 hours walk and overnight Hotel.

Day 02: Trek to Namche (3440m.) it takes six hours walk and overnight Hotel.

Day 03: Acclimatization in Namche and sight seeing in local village and overnight Hotel.

Day 04: Trek to Dole (4200m.) it takes six to seven hours walk and overnight Hotel.
Day 05: Trek to Machhermo (4470m.) it takes four hours walk and overnight Hotel.

Day 06: Trek to Gokyo (4800m.) it takes five hours walk and overnight Hotel.

Day 07: Acclimatization day in Gokyo for Machermo peak and overnight Hotel.

Day 08: Trek to Machhermo Base Camp ((5140m.) 6-7 hours walk and overnight Hotel.

Day 09: Climb up to high camp (5620m.) it takes four to five hours walk and overnight Hotel.

Day 10: Summit peak (6273m.), back to Machhermo (4470m.) 7-9 hrs in total, overnight Hotel.

Day 11: Trek to Namche (3440m.) it takes six to seven walk and overnight Hotel.

Day 12: Trek down Phakding (2610m.) it takes four hours walk and overnight Hotel.

Day 13: Trek to Lukla (2850m.) it takes three to four hours walk and overnight Hotel.

Day 14: Morning flight to Kathmandu from Lukla thirty minute and overnight Hotel.
