Tilicho Expedition in Nepal

Tilicho ExpeditionTilicho Expedition (7135m.) is a very tricky Expedition in Nepal not an effortless climbing Tilicho. Top of the view of Tilicho Peak and the indigo & peaceful Tilicho lake underneath. It is an icy lake and devoid of any life. Little firm times to attain and climbing on the camp I. From there also the scenery view of Tilicho Lake downhill can be seen. Camp II is situated at high of roughly 6200 meters and way is trickier to attain at this summit. Tilicho base camp is situated close to Tilicho Lake at 4800m high. It takes a few days rest for acclimatization at this base camp. At the top of the pass we manage to situate some nautical fossil which show to the fact that the Himalayas was once under the sea. We choose the first idea as this allow enough time for acclimatization and less difficulty for taking all the logistics. The views on the routes are breath taking, anything that can exceed your mind. Marshyandi valley way and from Kali Gandaki valley via Mesokenta la pass route. If the teams go through Kali Gandaki valley, climbers will have good acclimatization by cross Mesokenta la pass of 5200m elevation from sea-level with serene view of Tilicho Lake and many more mountains can be seen. Tilicho peak and the blue peaceful Tilicho Lake below. It is a glacial lake and unfriendly to marine life. The camp I situated at 5800m on a long way distance through the ridges of the mountain. It is little bit hard times to reach and climb on the camp I. Directly goes to top of Tilicho peak from camp II and the climb is little bit tricky with an altitude of 60 degree up toward the top Tilicho peak. Sometime chances of avalanche, so team should be cautious at this time to forward of climb. From there also the panoramic view of several mountain and Tilicho Lake down below can be seen. After ending Tilicho expedition walking through Mesokanto la pass to Jomsom, fly back to Pokhara and next day drive or fly to Kathmandu.

 

Tilicho Expedition Itinerary

Day 01: Private vehicle drive 5 hours to Besisahar (760m.) and overnight hotel.

Day 02: Trek to Bahundada (1310m.) it takes 5-6 hours walk and overnight hotel.

Day 03: Trek to Chamje (1420m.) it takes 6 hours walk and overnight hotel.

Day 04: Trek to Dharapani (1860m.) it takes 5-6 hours walk and overnight hotel.

Day 05: Trek to Chame (2670m.) it takes 6 hours walk and overnight hotel.

Day 06: Trek to Lower Pisang (3200m.) it takes 6 hours walk and overnight hotel.

Day 07: Trek to Manang (3540m.) it takes 5 hours walk and overnight hotel.

Day 08: Acclimatization in Manang and sight seeing in local village and overnight hotel.

Day 09: Trekking to Khangsar (3734m.) 3 hrs walking and overnight hotel.

Day 10: Trek to Tilicho Base Camp Hotel (4200m.) it takes 5 hours walk and overnight hotel.

Day 11-20: Small Peak climbing for acclimatization to Tilicho Expedition, overnight tent camp.

Day 21-41: Tilicho Expedition (7135m.) Period and overnight tent camp.

Day 42-47: Back to Kathmandu, via Mesokanto La pass, Jomsom fly to Pokhara and overnight hotel and drive or fly to Kathmandu and overnight hotel.
