Upon reaching Pokhara, often called the "city of lakes," trekkers gear up for the adventure ahead. The subsequent drive to Nayapul marks the official start of the trek, with the trail tracing the Modi Khola valley upstream. Along the way, travelers encounter picturesque villages, traditional farms, and terraced fields, gradually ascending towards Ghandruk.

Ghandruk, with its sweeping views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, serves as an enchanting starting point for the trek. Continuing on to Chomrong, another captivating Gurung village, trekkers traverse varied terrain, including stone staircases, rhododendron forests, and bamboo groves. As the journey unfolds, the trail meanders through captivating landscapes, passing through villages like Sinuwa, Bamboo, and Dovan. The backdrop of Machhapuchhre and cascading waterfalls adds to the allure of the trek, culminating in the ascent to Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchhre Base Camp.

Arriving at Annapurna Sanctuary is a moment of sheer awe, surrounded by towering peaks such as Hiunchuli, Annapurna I, and Machhapuchhre. The return journey retraces the same path, allowing trekkers to relish the beauty once again. A highlight of the descent is the opportunity to unwind in the invigorating hot springs by the banks of the Modi Khola, offering a refreshing conclusion to the adventure.
