Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patantanding temples, works of art and architecture and a varied calendar of feasts and festivals, all three have their roots in being capital cities of the valleys three principality's in times gone by. Another site with a religious significance is the huge stupa of Bodhnath, which is the largest in the country and among the largest in the world.
